Paris Saint-Germain made a remarkable comeback against FC Barcelona on Tuesday night at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Despite trailing 1-0 initially, PSG got a boost when Ronald Araújo was sent off after a foul on Bradley Barcola.

With Barcelona down to ten men, PSG seized the opportunity. They scored four consecutive goals, with Ousmane Dembélé striking against his former team just before halftime.

Vitinha equalized the aggregate score at 4-4 with a goal in the 54th minute, giving PSG a 2-1 lead. Kylian Mbappé then converted a penalty in the 61st minute and secured an insurance goal in the 89th minute, resulting in a final aggregate score of 6-4 in favor of PSG.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta is ready to turn the page on the challenging loss as he attempts to have a positive outlook for the rest of their season.

“We’re going through a disappointment, but we’re eager to go to Madrid to win,” Laporta said (h/t Mundo Deportivo). “It’s unfortunate because we had placed a lot of hopes, I believe, justified ones. But now, well, we’ll just have to get through this disappointment.”

PSG are now off to the UEFA Champions League semifinal, where they’ll face Borussia Dortmund, whom they’ve already encountered in the group stage this season.
