Tottenham Hotspur have been drawing in top talents from around the world due to their impressive project and vision.

Despite the absence of silverware in Spurs’ trophy cabinet, there is no denying that they are regarded as one of the best-run clubs in the country.

Another player who has been linked with the Lilywhites is the childhood club supporter, Alex Scott.

The Englishman has been on Tottenham’s radar since the last summer transfer window, despite him joining Bournemouth from Bristol City for a transfer fee of €23 million in August.

The 20-year-old emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in all of England, and it’s no surprise that the Cherries invested significantly in his talent, despite him playing in the Championship.

Scott recently reiterated that he is a Spurs fan, a loyalty inherited from his father, who has been a fervent supporter of the club.

In a conversation on AwayDays, Scott openly discussed how his childhood fondness for Tottenham was shaped by his father’s passion for the team.

Looking back on his experience playing against the Lilywhites, Scott reminisced about the thrill of scoring his first Premier League goal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Despite beginning the match on the bench, he capitalised on the chance to leave a mark by netting a memorable goal.

He said:

“My dad, big Spurs fan. So I think that’s just where it comes from, no other reason really, literally just my dad. And then I fell in love with Tottenham as a kid. So yeah, they’re my club!

“Yeah, I scored my first Premier League goal at Tottenham. That was crazy.

“I was on the bench as well, I was a bit disappointed I didn’t start. I then came on, scored my first goal and then scored another as well but that got disallowed.

“I think it was just the perfect place to score my first-ever goal.”

The young central midfielder hasn’t been heavily involved in his debut Premier League campaign for Bournemouth, making 18 appearances but logging only 750 minutes of action on the pitch.

Given his immense talent and potential, Scott can become a star for the North London outfit in the coming years.
