Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera isn’t surprised that his ex-teammate Kylian Mbappé is reportedly joining Real Madrid this summer when his contract with the Parisians expires.

Although nothing is announced, it’s widely assumed that the 25-year-old will be heading to Spain once he becomes a free agent. While there’s the Premier League, Herrera notes that the great players and Real Madrid always seem to find a way to come together.

“The paths of Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid were bound to cross sooner or later,” Herrera told El Chiringuito’s Nico Rodríguez. “The greatest in history must be linked to the most successful club in history, and that is Real Madrid.”

While many in the Spanish capital are excited that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is likely coming in a few months, one former player is issuing a winner. Johan Micoud, the former French player, is beginning to question Mbappé’s character and warn his next club, likely Real Madrid, of what awaits them.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how the PSG star adapts to his new environment and how his teammates adjust to him as there will be changes.
