It has been reported that Celtic will demand a significant transfer fee for Sead Hakšabanović. The Montenegrin international has been shipped out on loan to Stoke City in the English Championship this season, after his petulance over not being in the starting line-up led Brendan Rodgers to wash his hands of the player.

His outburst on social media was a stupid thing for Sead to have done and at times this campaign, we could have been doing with his availability as our squad depth was tested to the maximum. It looks like he won’t be able to find another opportunity at Celtic Park and many would probably be right in arguing that the winger will be no great loss to the team moving ahead.

However, apparently the Celtic heirarchy will demand £2.2 million for anybody wishing to secure the unwanted wide-man’s services. Stoke City are not wanting to make his temporoary stint down south a permanent one, with the forward hardly setting the stadium alight either for the Potters. But that must be caveated by the injuries he has sustained and lack of continuity which naturally comes with this.

According to reports in Sweden, where the former Rubin Kazan man enjoyed some of his best football at Norrkoping, say that the player will return north of the border this summer transfer window and then will be made available for transfer at the aforementioned price. It would be a decent fee to get for a squad player who is clearly not in the manager’s good books and subsequently, plans for the rebuild.
