Chelsea may well end up seeing a disastrous end to the Chelsea career of a legend who is set to leave the club at the end of this season, according to a report.

The club are going to be looking to sell a number of players before the end of June in order to balance the financial books, and there is one player who looks set to definitely be leaving the club this summer.

Veteran defender Thiago Silva has just two months left on his Chelsea contract with no sign of an extension happening, meaning that he will leave the club as a free agent in June, and then the likelihood is that he will find a new club to play for to see his incredible career out.

He of course joined Chelsea as a free agent and as a legend of the game at that point, and his legendary status has only been confirmed by his four year stint at Chelsea, in which he has become a true cult hero amongst the Stamford Bridge faithful.

But the time has come, so what next for Silva?

The Evening Standard have a report out on his future today, and they have said that Silva’s boyhood club, Fluminense are keen on bringing him back to Brazil. This is a rumour that has been brewing up for a while.

But according to the report, Silva could still stay in Europe and he is open to even staying in the Premier League.

Any move to another Premier League club for Chelsea would see a disastrous end to his time at the club, and Blues fans would absolutely hate seeing him turn out for another English club.

Let’s hope that he does go back to where it all started for him in Brazil, and see his playing career out there.
