Chelsea are eyeing a January move for a 23-year-old player that they’ve scouted 7 times this season, according to a report over the weekend.

The January transfer window is open and in full effect right now, and Chelsea are weighing up their options and if they are going to bring any new faces in to Stamford Bridge.

Sources: Results of Chelsea’s Osimhen agent contact, Deal to be done for Toney with Brentford interest in Blues player, Striker plans as of today, and More….

The striker is the main position constantly being spoken about, but there hasn’t appeared to be a lot of movement in that department as of yet anyway. Things can certainly still heat up very soon.

But a new defender has also been mentioned, and according to The Sun, Chelsea are looking to bring Athletic Bilbao defender Aitor Paredes in to strengthen their backline this month.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have sent a scout to watch Paredes, 23, seven times this season, including in Thursday’s 2-0 win over Sevilla, where he scored the second goal of the game.

Paredes is a product of Athletic Club’s academy and the report claims he would cost £20m.
