Chelsea’s latest wonderkid arrives for debut

Alex Matos is on for Chelsea to make his debut for the Blues.

It’s a great moment for the youngster, signed last summer from Norwich.

The forward slash midfielder has had to be very patient, making appearances in the development squad and looking like the talent we thought we were signing.

The fact that he got his debut tonight will be a huge boost for him, as well as a great signal to the rest of the academy – and the other kids we’ve signed over the last year – that they will get their chance eventually.

We had to be in a winning position to make things like this happen however – reminding us all how important it is get get a couple of goals up in games like this.

Our priority is to get points, of course. But along the way, we can make great progress with the grant project in moments like this.
