Juventus and Italy star Federico Chiesa raged on the bench after being substituted against Torino on Saturday, complaining that he’s ‘always the first player’ to be subbed off.

Massimiliano Allegri replaced Federico Chiesa at minute 64 during a 0-0 draw in the Derby della Mole on Saturday and the Italy international didn’t take the coach’s decision well at all.

As shown by DAZN, the striker vented frustration on the touchline as he took off his jersey and threw away his boots, saying: ‘I am always the first player subbed off.’

Chiesa-Allegri relationship hits new low as future uncertain

La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights that the relationship between Chiesa and Allegri has hit a new low as the Italian striker started the last eight Serie A matches but was always replaced after circa 60 minutes.

Chiesa’s Juventus contract expires in June 2025 but the Italian star has yet to agree on a new deal at the Allianz Stadium.

Allegri’s future at the club is also increasingly uncertain and the Italian tactician is expected to meet director Cristiano Giuntoli before the end of the campaign to determine his fate in Turin.
