Former Sheffield United playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White is on the shortlist of Arsenal this summer as Nottingham Forest are deciding on whether or not to cash in on him, per the Daily Star.

The Premier League have recently penalised The Reds with a four-point deduction. Exceeding the £61 million annual loss limit by £34.5 million has prompted the club, under Nuno Espirito Santo’s leadership, to contemplate potential player departures during the upcoming summer transfer window in order to restore financial equilibrium.

One of those players they are weighing up on whether to sell or not is the former Blade Gibbs-White.

Gibbs-White showed signs of brilliance at Sheffield United and now at Nottingham Forest

The 24-year-old registered 12 goals and ten assists in 37 appearances during his loan spell at Bramall Lane in the 2021/22 campaign. Sheffield United supporters knew he would go on to bigger and better things after his fantastic loan spell, and he’s certainly had a big impact at Forest.

Gibbs-White has participated in 28 Premier League matches this season, providing three goals and five assists. In the previous season, he concluded with five goals and eight assists.

Since his move from Molineux two years ago, for £42.5 million, he has demonstrated his value with performances that validate his substantial transfer fee, garnering admiration from supporters. Regrettably for Forest fans, it appears Gibbs-White might leave this summer if the club receives a suitable offer due to their precarious financial circumstances.

With Mikel Arteta supposedly wanting Gibbs-White to join Arsenal in the summer, it could be an ideal time for Nottingham Forest to make a profit on him.
