Henry Martin scored in the 16th minute, Alejandro Zendejas added a goal eight minutes later and America never looked back in a 4-0 drubbing of the New England Revolution in Foxborough, Mass., on Tuesday night in the first leg of a CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal series.

Cristian Calderon and Brian Rodriguez also scored as America put New England in a deep hole ahead of next Tuesday's match in Mexico that will complete the two-leg, total-goal series.

Luis Malagon recorded four saves en route to a clean sheet for the visitors, while Earl Edwards finished with three saves for the Revolution.

Even though it had lost hope of winning Tuesday's match, New England had a chance to improve its aggregate score in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time, but Matt Polster's header went wide right.

Crew 1, Tigres UANL 1

Diego Rossi scored in the 43rd minute to even up the match and the score held from there as host Columbus and Tigres UANL played to a draw in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal series.

Andre-Pierre Gignac opened the scoring in the 18th minute for Tigres. With time winding down in the first half, Aidan Morris intercepted an attempted clearing pass out of the 18-yard box and immediately passed it to Rossi. As the defense converged on him just inside the box, Rossi unleashed a shot that found the inside of the left post to tie the match.

The two teams play again next Tuesday in San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico. The winner will face the winner of the Inter Miami-Monterrey matchup in the semifinals.
