Confirmed: Man Utd enquired about Juventus target Koopmeiners

Transfer expert Matteo Moretto confirms Manchester United enquired about Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners although Juventus have the ‘strongest’ interest in the Dutch midfielder.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto provided the latest updates on the future of Koopmeiners on Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing.

A recent report from Sport Mediaset claimed that Chelsea were preparing a €60m bid after scouting the Atalanta star in a historic 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield last week. However, according to Moretto, Juventus have shown the ‘strongest’ interest so far, while Manchester United sounded the midfielder out a while ago.

It is also confirmed the Red Devils recently scouted both Koopmeiners and his teammate Scalvini.

Koopmeiners revealed last month that he’d leave Atalanta at the end of the season.

The Netherlands international confirmed his desire to leave the Geiwss Stadium, provided that La Dea received a suitable offer.

Koopmeiners, 26, joined Atalanta from AZ Alkmaar in a €24m deal including add-ons in 2021 and has scored 27 goals in 112 appearances with La Dea.
