Confirmed: 'They can be in the squad' – Chelsea team news for Brighton

Chelsea are getting ready to travel to the south coast tomorrow to face Brighton in the Premier League, and the confirmed team news has just been delivered.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are trying hard to get into the Europa League this season with two games left to play, Brighton tomorrow, and then Bournemouth on Sunday for the final game.

They basically just need to keep winning games but also need help from other teams. A win tomorrow against Brighton will be huge for their chances, and Pochettino will be doing all he can to get all three points.

The Argentine has just been speaking to the media ahead of the game tomorrow night, and he has delivered his squad news for the match.

Amazingly. Chelsea now just have four injured players on the latest injury updates list, which is the shortest list I have known for MANY months now.

Both Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka are now back in team training, which is a massive boost for the final two games.

Chilwell is not quite ready yet, confirms Pochettino in his presser today, but could be good for Sunday.

Pochettino said: “It’s very good news to have many players back on track. Chilly is really close, but not 100% to be part of the squad. Carney, also. We need to assess if they can be in the squad, or the weekend.”

Door open for both players to still make tomorrow?

It appears that way. Pochettino says they will assess for tomorrow, or the weekend. So one of or both might still make the squad.

Regardless, it is great that he is now so close to having a fully fit squad available to pick from once again, and two more of those injured players coming back into the fold.
