Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen hopes Instagram and the Premier League will do something about the avalanche of negative messages — including death threats — he has received since getting headbutted by Liverpool's Darwin Núñez on Monday.
Andersen's tough and physical defense frustrated Núñez, who eventually headbutted Andersen after a shove in the second half. The strike resulted in a straight red card for Núñez, although Liverpool still managed to level the score and get a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
The systemic mannerism employed by Andersen to frustrate Darwin Nunez into getting a red card is a testament of what the EPL is all about. Nunez had better learn from that

"Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night," Andersen wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. "I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop act (sic) tough online."
Andersen then shared multiple vulgar direct messages he received, including threats against him and his family.
Andersen, 26, has been with Crystal Palace since July 2021 after previously spending time with Lyon and Fulham. Núñez was playing in his second career Premier League match after joining the team in June.
