PLAYERS: Kevin Davies
Kevin Davies feels fighting fit to keep serving Bolton after surpassing a career landmark for appearances last weekend. The 34-year-old striker came off the bench during the closing stages of the Trotters' 2-2 draw at Blackpool on Saturday to bring up his 600th career appearance. Davies, capped once by England, hopes hard work behind the scenes means his longevity at the Reebok Stadium will be a feature for years to come. Asked what the accolade meant to him, he said: "I must know I'm getting on a bit but I feel great. Until Saturday I'd started every game and I speak to our fitness guys looking for stats and stuff and they're up there where they should be. "I'm doing all the things to make sure that I can try and get out there - the recovery sessions, yoga and all that. "I'm trying to do everything I can to make sure I keep playing but, as I say, I feel great."
