Decision made regarding the future of 27-year-old with 67 Tottenham appearances

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sanction the departure of Sergio Reguilon in the summer.

The North London club are expected to have a busy summer transfer window as they look to further bolster their squad. Quite a few of their players who are surplus to requirements will be offloaded. The money raised will then be used to bolster their ranks.

Sergio Reguilon is a player who is not a part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans moving forward. And, as per Pete O’Rourke via Football Insider, a decision regarding his future has already been made. The North London club are ready to sell him in the summer.

Reguilon who arrived at Spurs in the summer of 2020 from Real Madrid had a decent start to life in London. But, things didn’t work out as planned and he has been subjected to loan moves elsewhere.

Sergio Reguilon needs a fresh start

The 27-year-old had spent the first half of the season on loan at Manchester United and is currently on a short loan at Brentford.

While he has done a decent job for the Bees, the Spanish international is expected to return to his parent club in the summer. But, he doesn’t have a future at the North London club with Destiny Udogie making the left-back slot his own.

With his contract running out in the summer of 2025, Spurs are ready to listen to offers for the 27-year-old. They want to sanction his departure to raise funds. Tottenham are planning to reinvest the money raised to further bolster Postecoglou’s squad and help him build on the impressive start to life at the London club.
