Junior Messias will undergo his medical with Genoa on Friday morning after an agreement was reached over his exit, according to a report.

Gianluca Di Marzio writes that the parties are now sorting out the contractual details, but the basis of the deal has been agreed. Messias will renew with Milan and then move to the Rossoblu on loan with an obligation to buy.

The former Crotone star has decided that he wishes to remain in Italy and has chosen Genoa partly because of the insistence of Alberto Gilardino.

A meeting took place in Milan between the Genoa general manager Ricciardella, the player himself and his agent, during which he was convinced to make the swithc.

Last season, Junior Messias made 36 appearances in total, amassing 6 goals and 2 assists. Now the opportunity for a new challenge in Serie A has arrived for him, where he should have a starting role and will help Genoa to try re-establish themselves in the top flight.
