Done Deal: Reims snap up Almeria wing-back Sergio Akieme

Reims have snapped up Almeria wing-back Sergio Akieme.

Akieme moves to Reims in a permanent transfer.

The former Barcelona wing-back posted to social media: "In these almost four years we have laughed, cried, enjoyed and suffered but I have always felt a special bond with this city and these people that it hurts me so much to say goodbye to today."

Akieme thanked the club for offering him "the opportunity to grow as a professional in this project" and all "the workers who make an effort every day" so that the players are "in the best possible environment".

Barca will be due 10-20 per cent of the fee due Almeria from Akieme's sale.
