Everton goalkeeper Pickford: Gordon Newcastle's best player

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has hailed Anthony Gordon as being Newcastle's best player this season.

Gordon made his debut for the Three Lions and was lively in a friendly against Brazil at the weekend.

He managed four shots, four dribbles, and 55 touches in the 75 minutes he was on the field.

He may get more game time against Belgium later today, with Pickford believing Gordan has been a standout for Newcastle United all season.

"Ant wanted to leave and he went to Newcastle, and I think he has been their best player with his performances for them this season," the ex-Sunderland goalkeeper told BBC 5 Live.

"He's been consistent in picking up goals so credit to him."
