Everton made an attempt for Brighton midfielder Jakub Moder.
The market closed on Thursday with Everton not making any significant additions to their senior team.
Poland's SportoweFakty reports that before the deadline fell, Everton discussed a deal with Brighton for Moder.
The Seagulls were willing to do business, but Moder had no interest in leaving Falmer stadium for Everton.
When the move was put to him, the response was an emphatic 'no'.
