Fabio Carvalho looks set to depart Liverpool this summer after a frustrating start to life at Anfield since his transfer from Fulham.
The Portuguese under-21 international started the season well with a goal against Bournemouth before a 97th-minute winner against Newcastle United.
He has struggled since however, often missing out on Jurgen Klopp's squad, and has only played 634 minutes in all competitions for the first team since his move.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Carvalho will leave Liverpool this summer. Whilst there was no further information provided, it is assumed that he will leave on loan, rather than be sold.
Liverpool's use of Carvalho this season has been surprising at times in a team desperately short of energy and creativity.
A loan move may therefore be best for all parties but there is no doubt that long-term Liverpool need to work out how to utilise Carvalho, a player with the potential to go right to the very top.
