Liverpool are determined to give Jurgen Klopp an ideal send-off by winning the Premier League and UEFA Europa League titles at the end of the season before he leaves the club. However, the club is continuously preparing for the future and there has been an interesting update on their links to Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville.

Liverpool Monitoring Crysencio Summerville Ahead of Summer Window

Have Liverpool Made A Move For Summerville?

The Reds have recently been linked to be interested in making a move for the Dutch forward in the summer window after seeing him impress in the EFL Championship this season. Fabrizio Romano insists that many clubs, including Liverpool, are monitoring the development of Summerville ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, he adds that “at the moment” there is nothing advanced regarding Liverpool’s interest in making a move for the 22-year-old.

Romano reiterates that many parties will be interested in signing Summerville in the summer and that Leeds United can expect some demand for their star winger. The journalist adds that the Whites will be responsible for making the decision of whether or not to sell him after this season is over.

What Are Liverpool Currently Focusing On?

Liverpool’s current focus is on more pressing issues than looking to sign new players for the post-Jurgen Klopp era; the Reds are still looking to appoint the manager to replace the German gaffer.

After seeing Xabi Alonso rule out a move by pledging his loyalty to Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool are being constantly linked to Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim to take over from Klopp after this season is over.

With that being said, the Reds could benefit from the signing of a proactive, prolific winger like Summerville. The 22-year-old is enjoying a prolific campaign in the Championship, having scored 17 goals and providing eight assists in 39 appearances while helping his club fight for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The Dutchman, who was hailed for his “brilliant” performance against Manchester United last season, is contracted to Leeds till June, 2026 and is unlikely to be sold on the cheap to Liverpool or any other club.
