Felipe Martins 'happy' Zlatan Ibrahimovic is no longer in MLS

D.C. United player Felipe Martins fired a shot at legendary striker and former Major League Soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Ibrahimovic guided AC Milan to a 4-2 victory over uncrowned Serie A champions Juventus on Tuesday.

Per Football Italia, Ibrahimovic flashed his unique and eccentric personality during the post-match interview.

“I am President, player, and coach! The only negative is that I only get paid for being a player," Ibrahimovic reportedly said. “If I had been here from the first day of the season, then we would’ve won the Scudetto."

He added: “I don’t know if the fans have seen me live for the last time. It could well be, yes. Why? Read between the lines."

As noted by the league's official website, multiple MLS players hit out at Ibrahimovic after he left L.A. Galaxy to return to Europe following two seasons with the Galaxy. During his brief MLS tenure, Ibrahimovic was a polarizing figure among peers and supporters for his criticisms of, among other things, the league and its playoff format:
