According to reports, Bundesliga side Augsburg are on the verge of landing a “special” Spurs player in the final hours of the transfer window. Bendoni, a journalist from Gianluca Di Marzio’s team, has revealed that a flight was scheduled to take Tanganga to Germany in order to complete the final formalities before the window shuts.
The deal will be a loan agreement between the clubs. The Bundesliga side will have an option to buy the 24-year-old at the end of his loan spell if they like. However, another clause in the contract dictates that if certain criteria are met, the option to buy will change into an obligation to buy.
Watch: What Tottenham MUST do on deadline day
The reports from The Telegraph revealed that the London club could do more business in the transfer market in the final few hours before the deadline. Conor Gallagher of Chelsea has emerged as a potential target for the Lilywhites to bolster their midfield. Ange Postecoglou’s club can formalise their long-standing target in Nottingham Forest forward, Brennan Johnson on the deadline day. A formal bid is expected to be sent soon.
In terms of outgoings Spurs need to offload some overseas players to meet the regulations of squad composition. They are currently over the limit of overseas players allowed in the 25-man squad. Sergio Reguilon’s departure to Manchester United on loan will be helpful in their bid to meet the criteria.
Hugo Lloris, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Davinson Sanchez, Bryan Gil and Ivan Perisic are the other names revealed by The Telegraph that the North London-based club could be willing to let go.
