Odartey Lamptey says Kwesi Appiah needs a board of ex-players to manage player disputes
Ex-Ghana star Nii Odartey Lamptey has urging the Ghana Football Association to constitute a player resolution board that will consist of former players to deal with matters related to player management.
The GFA has struggled in handling the frequent resignation of players from the Black Stars in recent times.
Players like Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Michael Essien have all retired from the national team for various reasons.
Odartey Lamptey who played at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments for Ghana says there is the need to set up a resolution board that will pay attention to player disputes.
“For me I think this issue has been over dragged. We have been there, we have done it and we have seen it,” Odartey told XYZ Sports in an interview.
“That is why I have always said that apart from Maxwell and Akwasi Appiah, the FA should form a board to handle such matters.
