Asamoah Gyan sends his Al Ain team-mates into a dancing spree after the title success
Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has hailed the good team spirit in Al Ain that helped them to clinch the UAE league on Thursday night with four matches remaining.
The Black Stars captain fired all the three goals that helped Al Ain defeat Dubai 3-0 to increase his tally to 28 goals this season beating Brazilian striker Grafite of Al Ahli by four goals.
Gyan, the hero of the night with a hat trick, said: “It’s a great feeling. We worked really hard and have been united.
“We started slowly by losing our first game and everybody thought it would be difficult for us, but we kept our composure. The teamwork was there.”
It was rather fitting that Gyan proved the match-winner.
As so often has been the case in this 2012/13 season, the prolific Ghanaian supplied the finishing touch to his teammates’ efficient endeavours.
