Gross must stay here, insists Brighton boss De Zerbi

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi is eager to see Pascal Gross stay next season.

De Zerbi admits he's delighted with the influence of Gross this term.

He said, "I think Pascal Gross became a great, great player - a top player for us.

"I think he can play in every big team because he is smart, he is a very good player and his passion and attitude is incredible.

"I want him to stay with us but his level now is higher than two or three season ago."

On keeping Gross, he added: "I don't know. I speak like this because I watch the game and his level. I don't know if he has an offer or not - I hope not.

"I would like him to play with us."
