Inter aim to have an even stronger attack next season but will have to overcome some economic and technical hurdles to dos. While Simone Inzaghi wouldn’t mind have five starting-caliber strikers, that would create problems with the UEFA and Serie A lists. They might have to lean on a homegrown player for that purpose, La Gazzetta dello Sport relayed.

The coach and the brass will talk strategy in an upcoming summit. The easiest way to shore up the frontline would be to sell Marko Arnautovic and replace him with a more productive player. But they can ill-afford to register a loss. It won’t be easy to find a taker given his age and salary.

Inter have Albert Gudmundsson at the top of their wish list, while Joshua Zirkzee is almost out of their reach financially. They’d like to orchestrate a loan with an obligation to buy with Genoa to dilute the disbursement. The Icelandic star is willing to wait for them early in the summer but not forever. They’ll have to build their budget through the sales of loanees and probably Denzel Dumfries.

According to Relevo’s Mattia Moretto, Napoli have joined the race for the Genoa staple, and Juventus have had direct contacts with him and his team.

Our Take on the Inter Attack

It’s a first-world problem but still something they need to address correctly. Selling Valentin Carboni would be profitable, but perhaps keeping him and turning him into a second striker over time would be more beneficial. He’s young enough to be molded.
