Simone Inzaghi has no doubts that a contract extension with Inter Milan is not far away.

Speaking to reporters at the Palazzo Gotico, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri coach addressed his future confidently.

Inzaghi is currently under contract with Inter until the end of next June.

Naturally, if the 48-year-old is to remain at the helm next season, Inter will not want him to be heading into the final year of his deal.

And there would certainly seem to be no doubts about Inzaghi remaining in post. Not after the job that he has done this season.

Reports have indicated that the Nerazzurri are preparing to offer Inzaghi a two-year extension until the end of June 2027.

This would be in contrast to the one-year bumper deal the former Lazio coach has received in the past couple summers.

And it would be a clear reflection of the degree of faith and esteem that Inter have in their coach.

Simone Inzaghi: “I Hope & Believe” Inter Milan Contract Extension Coming Soon

Of his contract extension situation, Inzaghi said that “Now we have the last couple matches to play in the league, which we should do at our best.”

“Then I’ll meet with the club,” the coach made clear.

“I hope and believe that I can announce an extension soon,” Inzaghi said.

“I’ve found a perfect environment to work in,” the coach hailed life at Inter.

“The results that we’ve achieved haven’t been random. They’ve been the result of professionalism on the part of the entire organization.”

“And then obviously of a solid group of players that we’ve created,” added the Inter coach.

As for next year, Inzaghi said that “We have to be a strong Inter.”

“We have to improve on our objectives each season,” added the coach.

“Thinking about winning six trophies and reaching the Champions League final would have seemed unthinkable when I arrived here three years ago,” Inzaghi said.

“But there was a lot of hope.”

“I knew that I was coming to a strong club,” Inzaghi made clear. “With absolutely top directors behind the scenes.”

“I’m thinking of Marotta, Ausilio, Baccin. I knew that even in spite of the difficulties, they’d build a competitive team.”

“Then, along with the fans, we were able to win six trophies, and to reach a Champions League final.”

“I think that’s something that will remain with us forever,” declared the Inter coach.
