Inter Milan made it all look “too easy” with their dominant Serie A win away to relegation-battlers Frosinone yesterday evening.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Initially, yesterday’s match at the Stadio Benito Stirpe looked to be in the balance.

The Serie A clash may have been between the team who have romped to the title, and a side who are struggling just outside the relegation zone.

However, that alternatively meant that the balance of motivation had changed.

There was little for the Nerazzurri to fight for. For Frosinone, on the other hand, their very Serie A survival hangs in the balance.

And Inter’s defeat against relegation-threatened Sassuolo last weekend had certainly added another element of doubt into the Nerazzurri.

Could Frosinone make it a similar surprise result?

Inter Make It All Look “Too Easy” In Serie A Win Vs Frosinone

In the opening minutes, Frosinone certainly looked like they were up for trying to give Inter another shock.

And in truth, the entire first half was quite finely-poised.

There were good chances for Frosinone, who hit the woodwork and forced a string of good saves out of Inter keeper Yann Sommer.

But the Nerazzurri were able to take advantage in the decisive turning point.

It was midfielder Davide Frattesi who slotted home after some very good work from striker Marcus Thuram.

And from there on out, things started to look more downhill for the Nerazzurri.

In the second half there were four more goals from Inter, and without reply.

As the spaces really started to appear, Inter’s individual technical quality and well-drilled mechanisms on the counterattack really became apparent.

It was an exclamation mark performance from the champions.

If last Saturday’s rather turgid defeat against Sassuolo had made Inter look mortal in a way they rarely have this season, yesterday they looked to be back to being in a league of their own from their Serie A rivals.
