Inter Milan will hold contract extension talks with wingback Denzel Dumfries by the end of April.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet report that the Dutchman is a target for Manchester United, West Ham United, and Aston Villa should he not sign a new deal with the Nerazzurri.

At the moment, Dumfries is under contract with Inter until the end of June 2025.

The former PSV player is still on the same deal that he signed when he joined in the summer of 2021.

However, the Nerazzurri will certainly not want to see the 27-year-old head into the final season of his deal without signing an extension.

This would lead to the risk of Dumfries leaving on a free transfer when his contract expires.

Therefore, Inter’s intention is clear. Either Dumfries puts pen to paper on a new deal, or they will aim to sell the player this summer.

And according to FCIN, there is a clear timeline for the decisive round of talks.

Inter will hold negotiations with Dumfries’s representatives by the end of the current month.

And these will determine whether or not the Dutchman signs a new deal.

Inter To Hold Decisive Talks With Dumfries By End Of April – Man United, West Ham & Aston Villa Keen

Should Dumfries not sign an extension, then there would be a number of clubs ready to target the 27-year-old.

And according to FCIN, the Premier League is the source of much of the interest.

Manchester United are among the clubs interested in Dumfries.

This would hardly be the first time that the Red Devils have been linked with the Dutchman. But it could be the right time for them to move, given the player’s contract situation.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are also admirers of Dumfries.

And Aston Villa also see the 27-year-old as one of their targets at right-wingback.

Villa are also keen on a couple of other players from Serie A.

One is Juventus wingback Andrea Cambiaso. However, the Bianconeri are not keen to sell the Italitan international.

Another would be Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo. But the Partenopei would expect at least €40 million to sell the 31-year-old.

Therefore, Dumfries could prove to be the most attainable target at right-wingback for Villa, particularly in the event that they have the influx of cash from Champions League qualification.
