Toni Kroos’ future has been the subject of much speculation over the last few months. The veteran midfielder is out of contract in six weeks’ time, and there have been doubts over his continuity – not for Real Madrid, as they are desperate to retain his services for at least another 12 months.

Kroos’ future is likely to be decided in the next 2-3 weeks, but he would have no qualms in staying, as he told media this week (via Marca) that he is very comfortable at Real Madrid, and in the Spanish capital.

“I have found a home outside of Germany in Madrid. I’m very comfortable here, there are a lot of people who love me and make me happy.”

It’s been reported in the last 24 hours that Luka Modric will be leaving in the summer, which would suggest that Kroos will be staying on at Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti would certainly be delighted to keep him around for next season.
