AC Milan winger Jens Petter Hauge has revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped him settle in at the club after his arrival from Bodo/Glimt.

Hauge has been one of the three young Norwegian sensations taking Europe by storm this season, with Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland being the other two. The electric winger signed a five-year contract with Milan last year and made a move to Italy the few months before Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to the peninsula.

In an interview with SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Hauge spoke of the welcome he received from the Swedish striker and what he was told by him: “He is great, we had a great time together. When I arrived he told me to commit myself and enjoy it because Milan is a club with an important history.”

Adding further, Hauge said: “He asked me to work hard and fit in well with the group.”

Since moving from Norway, Hauge has appeared in 24 matches this season for the Rossoneri, scoring 5 goals in the process. He made his debut on 4 October 2020 in a 3-0 win over Spezia, and most recently netted during the 1-1 draw against Sampdoria on Saturday, snatching a point thanks to a late equaliser.
