Jose Mourinho not helping his strikers’ confidence with continual squad rotating - originally posted on Soccerlens.com In Chelsea’s third Premier League game of the 2013/14 season, manager Jose Mourinho has already named his third different striker to play the lone role up front. Recently, for their match against title-rivals Manchester United, Mourinho named summer-signing Andre Schurrle to start in attack. Fernando Torres started their first Premier League game against Hull City, Demba Ba started against Aston Villa, and now Andre Schurrle has started against the Premier League champions. Unsurprisingly, Torres and Ba have yet to register a league goal early on. Mourinho has made no secret he is in the market for a striker – most notably Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney. However, the Europa League winners have so far failed in the quest for the Englishman – after two failed bids.
