Homegrown Juventus starlet Fabio Miretti is one of the most sought-after youngsters in Serie A following an inspiring breakout season. According to Il Corriere dello Sport via ilBianconero, the 20-year-old midfielder has drawn interest from four top-flight Italian clubs.

Sassuolo, Bologna, Salernitana, and Monza have placed watchful eyes on Miretti. The skilled midfielder took advantage of an injury crisis in April 2022 to earn a first-team promotion at Juventus. Massimilano Allegri heavily relied on his services in the absence of Paul Pogba last season.

Miretti tallied 27 Serie A appearances for Juventus last term, chipping in with three assists. However, he tumbled down the pecking order toward the end of the campaign. Despite showing signs of improvement in pre-season, his place in the starting lineup is anything but safe.

With Pogba still unavailable for selection, Miretti will have another chance to regain Allegri’s trust tonight. Juventus head to the Dacia Arena to lock horns with Udinese in their opening 2023/24 league fixture. The Italian whizz-kid should make the starting XI.

His immediate future at Juventus could massively depend on his opening-day performance. Despite his burgeoning talent, the youngster has often struggled to put his qualities to good use. While it’s hard to imagine I Bianconeri sanctioning Miretti’s outright sale, it’s possible they’ll listen to loan offers.

Juventus have been on Domenico Berardi’s tail this summer. With Sassuolo interested in landing Miretti, they could use their wanted asset as a bargaining chip.
