Juventus are more than just zeroing in on Thiago Motta to succeed Massimiliano Allegri in the dugout. The Bianconeri righted the ship in the last couple of matches after a protracted rut. However, it’d be a surprise if they stuck with their present boss. Instead, they have an agreement in principle with the Bologna manager, Calciomercato relays.

The parties have been in touch for a few weeks and found common ground in the negotiation. The young gaffer is also drawing interest from Milan and foreign clubs. Though, he has verbally committed to the Old Lady.

If Juventus appointed Thiago Motta, they would try to purchase some of his lieutenants, for instance, Riccardo Calafiori and Lewis Ferguson. They have also been linked with Joshua Zirkzee, who’s very expensive.

The former Italy, Inter, and PSG staple is leading the Felsinei back to Europe after over 20 years. He guided Genoa for just nine matches and Spezia in previous campaigns. He avoided relegation with the Aquilotti and finished ninth with the Rossoblù last year.

Our Take on Juventus and Thiago Motta

The breadcrumbs about this have been scattered all over, and Bologna are starting to get linked to other coaches as well. His appeal isn’t hard to understand since he’s in the early stages of his career, which doesn’t hurt salary-wise, but he has already accomplished a lot in Serie A. Moreover, his tactics are ultra-modern and effective, and he’s been terrific at grooming youngsters. He’s ideal to open a new cycle.
