Hull midfielder Robert Koren has been left off Slovenia's roster for next week's exhibition against the United States.
Valter Birsa and Zlatan Ljubijankic, who scored against the U.S. during the 2-2 tie in the first round of last year's World Cup, were among the 23 players included Monday by coach Slavisa Stojanovic.
Koren, the Slovenia captain, last played for the Green Dragons in September. He has three goals for Hull this season in England's League Championship.
Also selected were defenders Bostjan Cesar and Bojan Jokic, teammates with American midfielder Michael Bradley on Chievo Verona in Italy.
The U.S. rallied for a 2-2 tie in last year's World Cup on goals by Bradley and Landon Donovan, who withdrew from the U.S. roster to remain with the Los Angeles Galaxy ahead of the MLS Cup final against Houston on Nov. 20. The U.S. and Slovenia play Tuesday in Ljubljana.
