Portugal and Netherlands need to win to advance

Cristiano Ronaldo and the Netherlands have one thing in common at the European Championship: both are the target of ruthless derision. One of them should silence their many critics on Sunday. Cristiano Ronaldo took a clear swipe at rival Lionel Messi as he hit back at criticism for his poor performance in Portugal's 3-2 win over Denmark at Euro 2012 . As all football fans prepared themselves, specifically Portuguese fans, there was a big hope that maybe this would be the day Ronaldo came out of his shell. To not much of a surprise, Ronaldo failed to leave us with even a glimpse of what he got us used to at the club level. In preparation for [...]

Denmark 2-3 Portugal – Match Recap – Euro 2012 – 13 June 2012

Portugal edge Denmark 3-2 in a very entertaining match in Group B of the Euro 2012 tournament. It was a great start for Portugal as Pepe (24th minute) and Helder Postiga (36th  minute) made it 2-0. International Love

Rafael Nadal just won his seventh French Open title and Cristiano Ronaldo is currently competing in Euro 2012, so a video of them playing tennis – in which Ronaldo uses his feet – seems appropriate. It’s hard to tell if the footage is doctored at the beginning or not, but I’m going to tell myself that it’s all real just so I can justify watching soccer for the rest of the month.
