The US’ all time goalscorer, Landon Donovan, signed a new multi-year contract with the LA Galaxy, confirming his stay in Major League Soccer after flirting with some attractive offers overseas. As per MLS rules, no details on the contract were publicly announced, although it is rumored that Donovan will be paid $4.5 million per year and could eclipse $5 million with bonuses. “This organization has always treated me with the utmost respect,” said Donovan during the Galaxy’s special announcement, “I feel truly blessed that I am able to continue playing here.
