Lazio are reportedly thinking about making an offer for Toronto FC winger Federico Bernardeschi as they look to add depth to the attack.

The Biancocelesti haven’t made any signings yet in the January transfer window, only sending out Toma Basic on a six-month loan to Salernitana. The club have quietly been considering various options, wanting to ensure their investment doesn’t go to waste.

In recent days, Lazio have been linked with a number of wingers across Europe, a list that includes Bryan Gil, Jonathan Ikone, Wilfried Gnonto, Gabriel Strefezza, Albert Gudmundsson, Anwar El Ghazi and Rafa Silva.

Gianluca Di Marzio details how Lazio are now thinking about offering Bernardeschi a six-month contract, giving him a route out of Toronto, where things have turned sour in recent months.

The 29-year-old winger wants to join Luciano Spalletti’s Italy squad for the coming European Championship, so he’s open to dropping his salary in order to push through the move to the Biancocelesti.
