Lazio are closing out a deal for Juventus duo Nicolo Rovella and Luca Pellegrini, but now Milan have emerged to complicate matters.

The Biancocelesti have reached a total agreement with the Bianconeri for the Italian pair, agreeing to sign both on loan deals with buy options attached, a deal costing around €27 million total between the various expenses.

Maurizio Sarri has wanted a new midfielder and left back for weeks and the pair’s arrival will add a key boost to his Lazio squad just a week before their first game of the 2023-24 season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio and Juventus exchanged documents for the Rovella-Pellegrini deal yesterday and things are expected to be completed in the coming hours, but in the background Milan have emerged to pose a threat.

The Rossoneri have had their eye on Pellegrini for a while now and have now started to consider a late lunge for Rovella, but their interest may have come too late as the Biancocelesti push to get things across the line.
