Lazio Goalie Reportedly on Manchester United Radar

Ivan Provedel hasn’t been as good as in the past campaign so far, but he has built up enough of a reputation since moving to Lazio to draw the attention of major clubs such as, for instance, Manchester United. They aren’t satisfied with André Onana’s showings after a large investment to lure him, Il Messaggero informs (via OneFootball).

The goalie is already tied to the Biancocelesti long-term. However, he was promised an extension since he came in low wages. He was supposed to be a backup at first. President Claudio Lotito has recently blocked all the renewals considering the team’s lackluster performances this season.

Lazio plot to ask €35M to whoever comes asking for Provedel next summer, Manchester United included. The Red Devils spent €50M to acquire Onana from Inter. He hasn’t been up to snuff and had a few gaffes. His future might be connected to Erik Ten Hag. The gaffer was a big proponent of the signing and is on shaky ground.

The goalkeeper is contracted till 2027. His entourage is angling for a raise. However, the capital club has more pressing matters on their plate.
