Lazio trio Ciro Immobile, Mattia Zaccagni and Luiz Felipe have all been called up to the Azzurri camp by coach Roberto Mancini.

As seen in an official announcement this evening, the 24-year-old Biancocelesti defender has received his first ever Italy call up, with Mancini hoping to tempt the player to wear the Azzurri shirt instead of the Brazil one.

Luiz Felipe is following in the footsteps of fellow Oriundi Emerson Palmieri and Jorginho, although he’ll need to be capped in a competitive fixture in order for his allegiance to be set.

Immobile is a consistent part of the Italy squad, and Zaccagni has received his first ever call up to the national team, a reward for his strong performances with Lazio this season.

Mancini is preparing a squad for Italy’s upcoming World Cup play-offs against North Macedonia and the winner of Portugal-Turkey. Interestingly, he has also handed Mario Balotelli his first Azzurri call up since September 2018.
