A midfield transfer target for Liverpool has said in a recent interview it is time for him to move on this summer.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to oversee an overhaul of his midfield at the end of the season with Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to leave at the end of their contracts, and with Arthur Melo set to return to Juventus after a difficult loan spell at Anfield.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham appears to be Klopp's number-one priority this summer but the Reds are likely to face stiff competition for his signature from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Chelsea's Mason Mount and Matheus Nunes of Wolves have also been mentioned as possible targets but another midfielder may have alerted the Anfield hierarchy with some recent comments.

Enzo Le Fee who has starred in midfield this season for FC Lorient made it clear in an interview with Le Télégramme (via Liverpool Echo) that he sees his future away from the Ligue 1 club.

“It’s time for me to leave. I have a special link with this club and that’s why I still wanted to extend at the start of the season.

“I waited for a contract proposal from FC Lorient until December. It never came. Now I don’t expect anything from the club and I won’t extend any more.

“I hope to leave this summer so that my transfer brings money to FC Lorient. Otherwise, I’ll be free to sign up anywhere next winter, less than six months from the end of my contract.”

It seems certain that the 23-year-old will be on the move in the summer based on his comments and he is likely to have a number of suitors who will be looking for a potential bargain with just a year left on his contract.
