The Luis Diaz to Paris Saint-Germain rumor remains in the football media. A few days ago, the latest information surfaced as the Telegraph’s Sam Wallace reported that the winger hasn’t agreed to a contract extension with the Premier League club yet and could leave Liverpool this summer.

Furthermore, the information revealed that PSG and Barcelona are interested in the Colombian winger, who is valued at £75 million. Nonetheless, Javier Mascherano has urged Luis Diaz to reject transfer offers from elsewhere and remain at Liverpool.

“He is a great player, very decisive, especially when it comes to playing in one-on-one duels,” Mascherano told Antena 2. “The truth is that I think he has arrived at a team that fits him just right.

“If there is something that Liverpool have is that they love players like Diaz who leave everything on the field and have that strength and leave everything on the field. That’s why I think he fits right where he has arrived.”

Unless he genuinely desires to leave and the English team is willing to let him go, it seems unlikely that the player will depart since he is tied to a contract for another three years. However, this might just be a tactic from his team to secure a better deal for Díaz.

It’ll be intriguing to observe how this situation unfolds and whether PSG truly holds an interest in Díaz or if his agents are simply leveraging the club’s name during contract negotiations.
