Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim is not thinking about rumours linking him to other teams.

The young Portuguese head coach is being linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer.

After Xabi Alonso committed to Bayer Leverkusen, Amorim is now the Anfield hot seat favorite.

"No, because that is also part of the players' lives. Everyone thinks a lot about them. If the players are involved with other clubs, perhaps. Not when it's the coach," he asked about the rumours and whether they were making his life more difficult.

The coach is Sporting's coach and they know they want to win titles for Sporting, just like me. It's one game at a time, knowing that the first always has an influence on the second. It's not worth thinking about the second when the first is so important.

"With games so consecutive, the next day is very important in physical and mental recovery. The main thing is not to do anything different. There is no more or less training. It is to maintain as much normality as possible.

"In the minds of the players, the fans and the coach are two very important games. When everyone knows what they have to do in the game, it relaxes the team. That's how we prepared for the week."
