Lozano and Lindstrom Transfers Set Napoli Back a Little

Jesper Lindstrom completed his Napoli move Tuesday, while Hirving Lozano will formally finalize his return to PSV either Wednesday or Thursday. The winger has already bid farewell to his teammates at the Castel Volturno training center, Corriere dello Sport informs. His annual wages will drop from €4.5M to €3M in the Eredivisie. Napoli initially requested €23M but had to give in due to his contractual situation.

According to ESPN, the Partenopei will cash in €13M and have a 15 percent resale clause. Turkish, Saudi, and MLS clubs were after the attacker too. He ultimately preferred going back to his old stomping grounds. The Azzurri previously spent €40M to sign him. He didn’t fully live up to expectations, tallying 30 goals and 17 assists in Campania. About half of his production came in the 2020/2021 season.

Considering the fee for Lozano, Napoli spent roughly €10M for the transition on the right wing, as they paid Jesper Lindstrom €25M, Calciomercato relays.

The 23-year-old, who can also star in other roles, inked a five-year contract and will make around €2M annually. He scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in 80 matches with Eintracht Frankfurt. He burst onto the scenes with Brondby.
