Former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sepp Maier has slammed his old club over their sackings of Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic.
Chief exec Kahn and sporting director Salihamidzic were axed 24 hours before Bayern clinched the Bundesliga title on the final day of the season.
This is no longer my FC Bayern. The issue with Oli has a bad taste. That is something that is not done like this regardless of what has happened before," Maier told the Sport 1 channel.
Neither of them deserved that. It was a lack of style. The two gave Bayern a lot, they are legends. Football is increasingly inhumane and what happened with Oli and Brazzo was inhumane.
That is something that I do not understand and that is not worthy of Bayern. If the gentlemen had done the same a week later, everything would be in order."
