Maldini wants to speak directly with Milan star to understand his intentions

AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini is waiting to speak directly with Franck Kessie over his renewal, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via NotizieMilan) writes that Maldini wants to speak directly with Kessie, to understand if the Ivorian midfielder intends to extend his contract at the club and continue his four-year journey.

Kessie has shown through his performances to be one of the the most important elements of the squad alongside the other leaders in the squad, and now Milan are ready to resume talks over his long-term future.

The paper writes that Milan and in particular Maldini wants to speak with the player once he has returned from the Olympics with the Ivory Coast. The midfielder is happy with the Rossoneri, in the dressing room he has a key role and wants to become a pillar of the club, but of course financial recognition will be needed.
