Man Utd coach McCarthy takes aim at AmaZulu

Manchester United strikers coach Benni McCarthy has taken aim at former club AmaZulu.

McCarthy was in charge of AmaZulu, leading them to a second-placed league finish at the end of his first season. He took AmaZulu into the group stages of the CAF Champions League before being sacked and eventually joining United.

He said on 947 Joburg: "I wish [AmaZulu] all the very best. Look at where I am now, I've got to be grateful for them because me leaving there has given me time to be at home.

"Then get the opportunity to go and be a first-team coach at Man Utd, and AmaZulu are back to where they were when I walked through the door."

McCarthy is now in his second season on United's coaching staff.
