Man Utd step up plans for Antwerp midfielder Vermeeren

Manchester United are said to be lining up a swoop for an exciting midfielder from Royal Antwerp.

The Belgian club's 18-year-old maestro Arthur Vermeeren is drawing comparisons to the likes of Andres Iniesta.

A pass master who is creative and also a very good dribbler, Vermeeren is also linked to Barcelona.

Per Mundo Deportivo, United are admirers and are ready to outbid Barca if necessary.

They believe that Vermeeren could even play for Erik ten Hag's first team if he signed in January.

United do have a lot of midfielders, but the club may want to move on from the likes of Scott McTominay.
